Honey Bees are extremely important to humanity, for the impact they have through  pollination of our agricultural crops. Without bees the availability & diversity of fresh produce would decline substantially, and human nutrition would likely suffer.

Humans are largely responsible for bees dying at a rapid rate. 
The two prominent causes are using harmful pesticides & loss of habitat.
